Politicians Line Up to Get Photo-Op with Teva Strikers
"Israeli Shortcut": Forget the fake concern and photo-ops; we want real results
Back to list
Without doubt, it is essential to help Teva out of its present crisis. Despite our admiration for Mayor Barkat’s and the media’s identification with Teva’s present woes, we believe the mayor should identify no less with Jerusalem residents who are helped by charitable organizations that deal daily with their tribulations.
Unlike Teva, these citizens do not plan huge demonstrations, declarations of looming crises, protests and strikes. Instead, they are suffering in silence.
Barkat and many other politicians are committed to ensuring that Teva and its plants remains viable in Israel; why don’t they show the same dedication to the many foreign citizens who are living in Jerusalem?
Israeli Shortcut agrees that as Teva must remain in Israel and nowhere else. In the same way Jewish foreign citizens should be made to feel at home so they will want to remain in the capital of Jerusalem in Israel.
Looking forward to jointly galvanizing on their behalf.
